MAGREDI TRAIL RUNNING
The race through “Magredi”
ASD Triathlon Team is delighted to present MAGRAID, the race through the “Magredi” area, a landscape which reminds African atmospheres.
“Magredi” (10.097,12 hectares) are a kind of nature unique in the world, marked by steppe, sandy desert, dry riverbed, small streams, stones and pebbles (called “claps” in local speaking).
Rare and typical plants, flowers and animals have lived in “Magradi” for centuries. The south borders of this territory are marked by “risorgive”, a linear area where water, falling down from near mountains and flowing underground to valley, come back on ground surface creating springs and rivers.
The “Magradi” area is protected and registered as site of European interest: respect for territory and its nature is requested by specific EU laws.
The 3-days long race MAGRAID takes place in this particular and fascinating landscape. It’s a 3 stages-race with overnight stay in a base camp located at “Parareit”, in the Municipality of Cordenons (PN).
During MAGRAID you will be for three days deeply inside nature, far apart from the rest of the world!

THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ATHLETHES ADMITTED IS 180.
ADMITTANCE IS ON A FIRST-COME FIRST-SERVED BASIS.

BY REGISTERING, THE ATHLETE ACCEPTS THE MAGRAID 2017 RULES AND REGULATIONS
Excerpt from the Magraid 2018 Rules and Regulations (Rules and Regulations):
- General conditions. The Race is open to athletes of any nationality and of either sex. Participants must be 18 years or older on race day and must submit their Medical Certificate for Competitive Sports Activities with expiring date at least one day after the Race has been concluded. See Art. 44 of the MAGRAID 2018 Rules and Regulations.
Entry fee:
Entry fee includes race pack, technical and medical assistance, official refreshments points along the race route, race stage bus transfer, accommodation in tents to share with other runners set up at Base Camp, board at Base Camp serving high quality meals cooked on the spot.
- a) € 105,00 for all athletes who have already participated in this Event at least once;
- b) € 135,00 for all new participants.
€ 5.00 will be donated to charity to the ASLA association (Sclerosi Laterale Amiotrofica)
Accommodation at Base Camp in a camp-bed under tents assigned by the Event Organizer is mandatory. Those athletes who will not respect this rule will be disqualified_ See Magraid 2018 Rules and Regulations.
No entry fee will be refunded in case of Athlete’s drop-out or disqualification by the Race Officials or the Event Organizer.
Refund of entry fee: see Art. 42 of the Rules and Regulations
- entry fee is not refundable, except for extraordinary and previously agreed cases;
- entry fee may be transferred to another athlete by paying an administrative fee of € 10,00 within June 5th, 2018
- entry fee may not be used to register to the 2018 event.
“I don’t throw my waste away!” project. Behavior rules must be respected: any waste can’t be thrown away during the foot march in the “Magredi” area.
