Everything is ready for the 11th edition of Magraid, the race in the Magredi steppe, which will take place from 15 to 17 June, with Campo Base set up in Parareit in Cordenons. The event is organized by the A.S.D. Triathlon Team, with the collaboration of the Podisti Cordenons.
Magraid is an event that combines sport, charity and attention to the environment, promoting an excellence of the territory, the Magredi of Cellina-Meduna. The natural environment that is the setting for Magraid, in fact, is a Site of Community Interest (SIC) and in part a Special Protection Area (SPA). The highlight of the program is the 100 kilometers stage race ultramarathon, unique in Europe, with overnight stay in the Base Camp. There will be 150 runners at the start, coming from Italy, but also from abroad.
In 2017 the winners were the Roman Giorgio Calcaterra, legend of the ultrarunning, and the Perugina Lorena Piastra (first also in 2016), which this year will be at the start and points to the historic “tris”. Among the men there will also be Udinese Ivan Zufferli, 1st in 2016 and 3rd last year.

Friday the opening of the gates at 16.00, while at 8.00 p.m. the start of the first stage of 20 kilometers, called “Steppa” (at 9.30 p.m. is expected the arrival of the first runners).
Saturday morning the “ultramarathon” stage of 55 kilometers, called “Grave” with departure at 10.00 from the company “I Magredi” of Domanins of San Giorgio della Richinvelda (at 4.30 p.m. the arrival of the first). In the afternoon, in addition to the 100 km, two events not to be missed in the name of solidarity. First the 2 × 1 walking relay now “Magraid for SLA”, the novelty of this year, whose proceeds will be donated to the Pordenone section of ASLA Onlus (registration on the spot and departure at 5.00 p.m.). At 6.00 p.m., however, there will be the non-competitive gear suitable for all “Magrave – 2nd Memorial Paola Franzo”, which will take place on 6/12 km routes in the magredile site, starting at 6.00 p.m.
On Sunday, starting from 10.00 a.m., the final stage of the 100 km, from 25 km, called “Risorgive” will be disputed. Prizes awarded at 4.00 p.m.
