Why to take part in “Magrave”?

“Magrave” is a run, a foot march, a walk in the “Magredi” steppe, a stony area located between the Cellina and the Meduna rivers and locally called “Grave”. “Grave” could be translated in English as “gravel”, which clearly describes the feature of the land.

When:

Saturday, June 17th

Where:

6 or 12 km routes inward the “Magradi” area. The ground is half stony, half dirt patch.

Start place and time:

Start at 6.00 pm from the “Magraid” base camp – location “Parareit”, Municipality of Cordenons

Meant to:

“Magrave” is a not competitive march, meant to everybody wants to try a unique experience surrounded by a charming landscape and African atmospheres.

 

“I don’t throw my waste away!” project. Behavior rules must be respected: any waste can’t be thrown away during the foot march in the “Magredi” area.

routes are immersed in the natural environment of the “Magredi”
everybody must have a respectful behavior in order to preserve the “Magredi” environment. The foot march belongs to the “I don’t throw my waste away!” project
Registration fee:

2,00 € if members of associations/clubs affiliated to FIDAL, member of associations/clubs admitted by FIDAL or member of foreign associations/clubs affiliated to IAAF
2,50 € IF NOT
6,00 € – with the prize of a bottle of “Magraid” wine by “I Magredi” farm – if members of associations/clubs affiliated to FIDAL, member of associations/clubs admitted by FIDAL or member of foreign associations/clubs affiliated to IAAF
6,50 € – with the prize of a bottle of “Magraid” wine by “I Magredi” farm – IF NOT
(IVA payment are not requested)

 

REGULATION
7th EDITION

Because of healthy care and safety assistance, it is necessary start occurs at the fixed time. Assistance is not guaranteed in case of start in advance.

Along the routes there will be refreshment stands and check points.

The “Magradi” area is protected and registered as site of European interest: respect for territory and its nature is requested by specific EU laws:

It is interdicted for motorized vehicles to circulate (except in case of specific permits)
It is interdicted to mow the meadows
It is interdicted to pasture
It is interdicted to turn over, to dig and to modify the land’s surface
It is interdicted to bring dogs without collar and let dogs free
It is necessary to respect private ownership.

Training. Participants should be adequately trained to take part in the foot march. Minors are under the responsibility of parents. The organizational team is not imposed to request and check healthy certificate and shall not be considered liable for accidents and/or injuries to persons before, during and after the event.

Healthy care. All the events long, a medical assistance point will be present at the base camp.

Registation form. It is necessary to fill completely the registration form and carefully keep it until the finish of the foot march.
